Privacy

In short: our apps and games run on your device. We do not require accounts, we do not run analytics, and we do not collect, store, or sell your personal data. Purchases are handled by the app store you bought from. Your progress and settings stay on your device.
1. Who we are
Rainpane is the trading name of Rainpane Ltd, an independent games and software studio registered in England and Wales, company number 17376283. This policy covers every app and game we publish on Google Play, other app stores, and the web, unless a specific title states otherwise on its store listing and in the table below.
2. What we collect
Nothing, in the ordinary sense. Our apps do not ask you to create an account, do not request your name, email address, or contact details, and do not include analytics or tracking SDKs. We have no servers that receive your gameplay data.
Game progress, save files, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We cannot see them. Deleting the app deletes this data, subject to any backup your device or platform performs under its own settings (for example Android device backup, which is governed by Google's privacy policy).
3. Purchases
Some of our apps offer paid unlocks or in-app purchases. These transactions are processed entirely by the platform's billing system, such as Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment details. The platform provides the app with a purchase receipt so that your unlock can be restored if you reinstall or change device. Purchase records are handled under the platform's own privacy policy:

4. Advertising
Most of our apps contain no advertising. Where a title includes optional advertisements (for example rewarded ads you choose to watch), this is stated on its store listing and in the table below, together with the name of the advertising provider. Advertising providers may process device identifiers to serve and measure ads under their own privacy policies, which we will link from the relevant row. No Rainpane title currently live includes advertising.
5. Per-app details
The baseline above applies to every title. Exceptions and per-app notes are listed here. This table is updated as we release new titles.

6. Our website and browser demos
This policy also covers rainpane.com itself. The website is a static site: it does not use accounts, advertising, marketing cookies, or third-party analytics or tracking scripts. Playable browser demos on the site (such as the Marigold Murders demo) run entirely in your browser, and any demo progress is kept in your browser's local storage on your own device; we do not receive it. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Our hosting and content delivery provider processes technical request data, such as your IP address, transiently in order to serve pages to you and to protect the site from abuse. This is standard operation of any website and is governed by the provider's own privacy policy.
7. Permissions
Our apps request only the permissions needed to function, such as internet access for processing a purchase through the platform's billing system. We do not request access to your contacts, location, microphone, camera, or files unless a specific feature requires it, in which case the app will ask you at the point of use and the feature will work only with your consent.
8. Children
Because our apps collect no personal data, this applies equally to all players, including children. Each title carries an age rating on its store listing, and titles are designed to be appropriate to their rating. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age.
9. Your rights
Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have rights over personal data an organisation holds about you, including access, correction, and erasure. Because we do not collect or hold your personal data, there is ordinarily nothing for us to produce, correct, or erase; your data lives on your device and is under your control. If you contact us by email, we will use your email address only to reply and will not add it to any marketing list. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
10. Security
Since your data stays on your device, its security depends primarily on your device's own protections. We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date. Purchase transactions are secured by the platform's billing infrastructure.
11. Changes to this policy
If a future title changes what we collect or process, we will update this policy and the table above before that title is released, and revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be reflected in the affected app's store listing and data safety declaration.
