Rainpane is an independent software studio based in Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom. This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit this website or use our software. The short version: we collect as little as possible, and our tools are built so that your data stays on your own devices.
This website
This site does not use cookies, does not run analytics scripts, and does not track you. It is served through Cloudflare, whose infrastructure processes your IP address in order to deliver the page and protect against abuse; Cloudflare's handling of that data is described in the Cloudflare privacy policy. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google's servers when the page loads; Google's handling of those requests is described in the Google privacy policy.
If you email hello@rainpane.com, we receive your address and whatever you send. We use it to reply to you and for nothing else. We do not add you to mailing lists and we do not share your details with anyone.
Our software
Rainpane tools are local-first by design. Where an application includes AI features such as transcription or summarisation, processing happens on your own hardware. Our applications do not include advertising SDKs or third-party analytics unless a store listing for a specific product states otherwise. Where a product is distributed through a store (such as Google Play or the Microsoft Store) or sold through a payment provider (such as Lemon Squeezy), that platform processes your purchase and account information under its own privacy policy, and we receive only what is needed to deliver the product, such as licence validation.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. In practice, the only personal data we are likely to hold is email correspondence you have sent us. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@rainpane.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with an updated date.
